This place does holidays on a big scale – there's a massive pool, an XL beach and a huge list of bars and restaurants.

The Akti Imperial's got an underground passage that leads directly to the neighbouring beach. The gardens near the waterfront are home to a couple of pools, a river-style pool and a splash pad for kids.

Foodies can pick from eight restaurants, including gourmet Greek and Asian spots. There are five bars looking after drinks, plus cabaret shows, traditional dancing and live music after dark.

POOL

You'll find a pair of bigger-is-better pools outside. The main one's got a river-style pool looping away from it, and there's a bar close by that serves beers, cocktails and juices. Head to the edge of the gardens and you'll find a tunnel which runs under the road to the nearby beach. It only takes a minute or so to get through on foot, so reaching the waterfront's a doddle.

River-style pool

This pool meanders its way through the spacious terrace where sunloungers and parasols reside.

Snail outdoor pool

This freshwater pool is shaped like a snail, and the H2 bar is within close proximity, too.

Pool towels

A deposit of €10 is requested per pool or beach towel.

Indoor pool

There's a rectangular heated indoor pool within the hotel's spa.

Kids' pool

There's a rectangular pool with mini-slides shaped in the form of an Octopus. Plus, pool towels are available for a refundable deposit. Inflatables are welcome here.

ENTERTAINMENT

You can switch between four bars in the evening. The line-up includes a poolside joint and a place that stays open until 1am. The all-night dining restaurant also serves beer, wine, soft drinks, juice and coffee until six in the morning. The entertainment bill rolls out shows seven days a week. Greek dancers and cabaret acts are a snippet of what's in store.

Evening entertainment programme

The evening entertainment is jam-packed, including live shows every night such as cabaret, tribute bands, magicians and acrobatics. Live music is held five times a week also.

Kids' club

There's a Mini Club for children aged between 4 and 12. And it's open 7 days a week, from 10am to 6pm.

Teens' club

This hotel-run club is catered for those aged 12 to 18. And it's open 7 days a week, from 10am to 6pm.

Greek night with a live band and folkloric dancers, once per week.

You can munch on dinner at eight different restaurants. In the main one, Greek and international options are laid out buffet-style. And if you get hit by hunger pangs in the early hours, there's a place that serves salads, fruits and Continental platters all night. On the fine-dining front, you've got four options to weigh up. Lucullus sticks to Greek classics, the Red Elephant does pan-Asian and sushi dishes, and Asterias specalises in Greek seafood. Marco Polo completes the picture with its Italian menu.
